Ratalyacha Kees

Ingredients:-

3 Sweet Potato

1 tbsp cumin Seed

1/4 tsp hing

2 green Chillies (chopped)

1/2 Cup peanut (crushed)

1/3 cup grated coconut

3 tbsp freshly chopped coriander

rock salt

1 tps jaggery (optional) 

 

Method:-  

  1. Soak Sweet Potatoes in water for around one hour. Wash properly.
  2. Grate sweet potatoes in 2 cups of water to avoid oxidization. Do not peel the skin of sweet potatotes.
  3. Drain all the water with the help of colander or seive. Let the drained grated sweet potatoes sit for 5-10 minutes. Transfer to bowl or vessel
  4. Heat the tadka pan. Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter. Switch off the gas add hing, chillies .Saute for few minutes
  5. Add the tadka to the grated sweet potatoes. Add peanut powder
  6. In a steamer add water. Place the vessel and close the lid. Steam the sweet potatoes for next 8-10 minutes.
  7. Remove the vessel from the steamer. Add salt, add jaggery, grated coconut and garnish with freshly chopped coriander.
  8. Serve Hot.
