Sharing a quick update on the 21 day Diabetes special program that is ongoing. We are in the third week of the program and from the first week itself, we are seeing consistent reduction in the blood sugar for all the participants. We are guiding them with dietary changes and lifestyle modifications from day 1 of the program but I must appreciate the consistent and determined efforts taken by each and every participant to enable this change. Under the supervision of Doctor Roopa Mam, 4 participants have already reduced the medication by 50%. They had to reduce the medication because they were experiencing low sugar symptoms.
It will be very interesting and crucial to see how all these participants are able to continue or sustain these changes. After the 21 day program is over, I will keep you updated about more details. Stay tuned. The dietary modifications include learning to replace 5 whites (refined salt, refined sugar, refined oils, refined flours and grains and animal products) with its safer alternatives. Fine tuning the eating practices so the nutrients are absorbed efficiently, and elimination is effective. The lifestyle modifications include identifying the drains on the vitality, mental blocks that can stop us from following a plan through think right sessions, learning to move right through yoga practices, developing a sleep routine to experience restful, rejuvenating sleep to name a few.
