This December was all about chocolate mousse at our home! 3 birthdays, 2 sets of guests and the Christmas eve at Monica’s, this chocolate mousse stole the show 🙂
Cooking with minimum ingredients and with less efforts keeps me going in the kitchen. and that’s the reason this recipe is dear to me 🙂
This is a 5 ingredients recipe.
2 cups sweet potatoes steamed with the peel (that’s the secret ingredient :))
1 cup soft dates (soaked in just enough water)
2/3 tbsp Cacao powder
Coconut milk – as per the need to blend the mousse into a smooth consistency
cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
To garnish – citrus fruits like strawberries, blueberries, oranges etc.
Variation: cacao powder and dates can be also replaced with a melted bar of whole truth dark chocolate
( 2-ingredient chocolate made with cacao beans and dates)
Method :
- Blend all the ingredients into smooth thick paste like consistency
- Set it in the refrigerator for 2 hrs after garnishing/layering it with the fruit of your choice
- The mousse is ready!
