I was introduced to Psychodrama in June’22. I joined thinking that some theatrics would be involved and it might loosen me up. Well, some theatrics were involved and the loosening up led to flow at the levels of the body, mind, and spirit.

Through all the interactions in my group, I came face-to-face with many truths I had so far refused to accept.

I have been on a spiritual journey for 10 years and I realised that some of the wisdom I thought I had imbibed was a superficial acceptance. Inside, the pain, anger, resentment, blame, hurt, and unfairness still rankled. Many energies were still blocked and craved release.

Much more inner work was needed to clear the debris and my psychodrama group proved the perfect vessel for this exploration. Every month we meet, and do the work. I have laughed, cried, processed, and reflected. And each time, something old died and the fog dissipated.

With each group experience, I became a better person.

I owe so much to my group mates and my guide. Each one has been a teacher and a friend. The collective wisdom has flowed into my life, translated into greater authenticity and compassion, better communication and relationships, and a stronger connection with myself.

It is my mission to create similar safe spaces for people to come together and grow. The Inner Work Sessions offered every Friday, 6 PM, on a pay-as-you-wish mode is one such offer. The other is the THRIVE – Back to Self program which calls for deeper work through psychodrama.

In safe spaces, we develop the confidence to face our fears and take on the monsters that have shadowed our choices and life paths. We are empowered by the collective energy of the group. And we reconnect with our own strengths and potential.

If every person in the world had such a space, humanity and all other beings would thrive.
