I know that I should be making these food changes, but I’m just not feeling motivated!

So many of my clients share this in the first coaching session and that’s when we sit together, and we try to understand which is that area that needs immediate attention and that is going to enable the person to get started on his health journey.   And it may not be food all the time. For example, in my last coaching sessions with my client, we realized that there was no time or enough bandwidth to take up any healthcare related practice. And that’s when we sat together. We understood what the tasks are he’s performing, what tasks are of high priority, which tasks can be dropped and so that he got a window of 45 minutes in his day and then he chose to work on his mental health. So, I helped him to come up with his mental health practice. And then he wanted to work on his movement because he thinks that movement gives him that energy or right start to the day, and food was the last thing that we started working on. And by the time we reached nutrition or food, he was completely motivated and inspired to take up the challenge and to make changes in his food habits. So, I find being a holistic health coach working on all the dimensions instead of justice, writing a diet plan, being a nutritionist is more effective.
