Moments of gratitude,
in episodes of life,
take away the sting,
leaving unfettered joy.
Moments of gratitude,
in the mundane and insipid,
reveal the blessings,
so carefully hid.
Brother David*,
my cup runneth over,
at the truth of your words,
“Gratitude and suffering cannot co-exist.”
The blessed words,
on parched earth did fall,
Washing away the pain of,
past, present and all.
In every experience,
my heart does swell,
In this new dimension,
that in each moment dwells.
