1 small lemon size tamarind ball
15-20 dates (de-seeded)
8-10 leaves of pudina
1/4 cup of coriander
2 green chilli
1/4 tsp black rock salt
1/4 tsp jeera powder
1/2 tsp salt

  1. Soak tamarind in warm water for half an hour.
  2. Soak 15-20 de-seeded dateds for 45 minutes in very little water.
  3. Transfer the soaked tamarind and dates to the mixie jar.
  4. Add pudina, coriander leaves, green chilli, rock salt, jeera powder and salt.
  5. Blend all ingredients together and grind to smooth paste.
  6. Transfer to an air-tight container
  7. Enjoy as dip, sauce or a chutney.
