1 small lemon size tamarind ball
15-20 dates (de-seeded)
8-10 leaves of pudina
1/4 cup of coriander
2 green chilli
1/4 tsp black rock salt
1/4 tsp jeera powder
1/2 tsp salt
- Soak tamarind in warm water for half an hour.
- Soak 15-20 de-seeded dateds for 45 minutes in very little water.
- Transfer the soaked tamarind and dates to the mixie jar.
- Add pudina, coriander leaves, green chilli, rock salt, jeera powder and salt.
- Blend all ingredients together and grind to smooth paste.
- Transfer to an air-tight container
- Enjoy as dip, sauce or a chutney.
