Hot & Sour Potato Curry

Ingredients

3 Potatoes medium sized (steamed)
2 tbsp chilly powder (Badagi)
1 small marble size ball of tamrind
1 cup of grated fresh coconut
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
9-10 teffal fruits (optional)
4 dry kokum pieces
2 green chillies
1/4 cup water
Rock salt to taste

Method
1. Clean potatoes, cut them into big pieces and steam them with peel
2. Grind coconut, chill powder, tamrind , turmeric to fine paste.
3. Add water to the pan and add potatoes
4. Add the masala . Crush the teffal and add to the curry. Let the curry simmer.
5. Add kokum and green chillies
6. Switch off the flame and add rock salt
7. Our tasty curry is ready to serve.

Something about Teffal

The teffal is type of berry. It can be used fresh and dried. Only skin of the berry is used when dried.
This berry is used only for flavour and should not be eaten. Teffal has very unique flavour.
