Aam Panna is a very refreshing drink made using Raw mangoes and saffron.

Today I am sharing a recipe of sweet Maharashtrian style Panna.

Try it this summer and feel cool, rejuvenated like never before

Ingredients

  • 1/2kg Raw Mango
  • 1cup organic jaggery powder
  • 2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Few Saffron sticks soaked in water
  • A pinch of rock salt

 

Method

  1. Cut raw mangoes into cubes.
  2. Pressure cooker them with enough water and cook till soft.
  3. Remove the pressure cooker from heat and let the mangoes cool down.
  4. Transfer the mangoes in a blender and blend to make a smooth puree.
  5. Add jaggery, rock salt and saffron sticks soaked in water and mix well.
  6. Add 5-6 cups of water and mix well.
  7. Chill the Panna for a few hours.
  8. Pour the Panna in serving glasses and serve chilled.
