Mango SandaNa/Dhonus
Ingredients :
Mango /Jackfruit pulp – 2 cups
Rice rava – 1.5 cups
Coconut milk – 1 cup
Date Paste – 15-18 dates
Grated coconut – 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Soaked & chopped nuts for garnishing
Method
- Soak rice rava in mango pulp and coconut milk for 2 hrs.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well
- Transfer to idli tray. Garnish with nuts and steam for 10-12 minutes
- For Baking Line the cake tin with parchment paper and transfer the mixture. Garnish with nuts
- Bake in OTG for 45 minutes at 180C.
Variation –
- You can make a similar cake or steamed sandana using jackfruit pulp.
- Adjust the sweetness as per your preference.
- You may dip this steamed sandana in coconut milk and dates mixture as well.
- You can also sprinkle some mixture of grated coconut and dates.
