Oilfree methi pithala

 Enjoy Falhari Kachori without any guilt. Very Easy to make plus its oil free, dairy-free, sugar-free and refined flour free.

Ingredients

Filling
1 cup grated coconut
1/4 cup coriander leaves
1 tsp green chilly crushed
6nos roasted cashew chopped
10 nos Raisins chopped
1 tbsp chopped dates
1 tsp rock salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp roasted peanuts crushed
1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp roasted poppy seeds
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds 

Outer covering
1 cup potato boiled and grated
2 tbsp Arrowroot
1 tsp rock salt

Method

For filling

  1. In a bowl add grated coconut, coriander leaves, crushed peanuts and rock salt.
  2. Add roasted cumin seeds, green chillies, raisins, roasted poppy seeds, roasted sesame seeds, roasted cashew nut, chopped dates and give it a mix.
  3. Keep aside

For coating

1.  In a bowl, mash the boiled potatoes and make them into a dough-like shape.
2.  Add salt, arrowroot powder to the dough.
3.  Give it a good mix, take a portion of it. Make a bowl of potatoes.
4.  Add a spoon full of the filling and pull out the edges and bind it together making a round ball.
5.  Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180 deg Celcius. Line the baking tray with parchment paper
6.  Transfer the kachoris to the baking tray and bake for 15 minutes
7.  Now transfer the half baked kachori to appe patra or tava and then bake it for 10 to 12 minutes (The kachori ball becomes a little dry in the oven and it becomes easy to cook in appe patra without oil).
8.  Serve these kachori piping hot.
