Pumpkin Peel Chutney

1 cup pumpkin peel
1/4 cup coriander leaves
1/4 cup sesame seeds
5-6 curry leaves
1/4 cup chopped coconut pieces
2 tsp lemon juice
2 chilies
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp hing
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup water
rock salt as per taste

Method

  1. Heat kadhai, and add mustard seeds.
  2. Let them splutter add hing, turmeric powder, curry leaves, chilies and pumpkin peel.
  3. Add water and saute the mixture for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Close the kadhai with the lid and let the mixture cook till done.
  5. Check in between with a spoon if the peel has softened.
  6. When done, add the mixture to the mixie grinder, add coconut pieces, sesame seeds, and coriander leaves and add rock salt as per taste.
  7. Squeeze lemon and serve this lip-smacking chutney.
