Pumpkin Peel Chutney
1 cup pumpkin peel
1/4 cup coriander leaves
1/4 cup sesame seeds
5-6 curry leaves
1/4 cup chopped coconut pieces
2 tsp lemon juice
2 chilies
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp hing
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup water
rock salt as per taste
Method
- Heat kadhai, and add mustard seeds.
- Let them splutter add hing, turmeric powder, curry leaves, chilies and pumpkin peel.
- Add water and saute the mixture for 2-3 minutes.
- Close the kadhai with the lid and let the mixture cook till done.
- Check in between with a spoon if the peel has softened.
- When done, add the mixture to the mixie grinder, add coconut pieces, sesame seeds, and coriander leaves and add rock salt as per taste.
- Squeeze lemon and serve this lip-smacking chutney.
