Ingredients
- 7-8 Radish Stalks with leaves (finely chopped)
- ½ cup freshly grated coconut
- 1 whole green chilly
- 2 tbsp date paste/jaggery
- 3 Radish (finely chopped)
- ¼ cup toor dal/channa dal (soaked)
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- Rock salt as per taste
Method
- Steam radish and stalks for 8 to 10 minutes till cooked
- Pressure cook dal until two whistles and switch off the flame. The dal should not be overcooked. The form of dal should be retained.
- Heat a thick bottom pan and add green chilly and finely chopped radish leaves.
- Saute it for a while till radish leaves are cooked. Now add steamed radish, stalks, and dal.
- Add turmeric powder. Mix all well and let it simmer.
- Switch off the flame and add date paste, salt, and freshly grated coconut.
- Serve this subzee with jowar /bajra roti or chapati.
