INGREDIENTS
FOR THE CRUMBLE TOPPING:
1/4 cup cup walnuts
1 soft variety dates deseeded and chopped
For chopped apples
2 apples, chopped
1/2 fresh lemon juice
for the apple sauce
1 apples, chopped
1/2 fresh lemon juice
2 soft variety dates deseeded and chopped
1/4 cup soaked raisins (2 hrs)
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
INSTRUCTIONS
To make the crumble topping:
1. Blend the walnuts and dates in the blender. Just pulse it for 3-4 times. The mixture should be grainy.
To make the filling:
1. Mix chopped apple with 1/2 tbsp of lemon juice, and keep aside.
2. Grind all ingredients of the sauce ingredients in the blender 3. Add the sauce to the chopped apple.
4. To serve, spoon into dessert dishes and sprinkle with the date-nut crumble.
