Train Your Cook

Train Your Cook – Power Plate Online Training

Make Healthy Eating Easy at Home

One of the biggest challenges families face when adopting a Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) lifestyle is translating nutrition knowledge into everyday meals.

Even when family members are motivated to eat healthier, lasting change becomes difficult if the person preparing meals is not confident about what to cook, how to cook it, or how to make it enjoyable.

The Train Your Cook programme is designed to bridge that gap.

Through two practical online training sessions, your home cook or chef learns how to prepare simple, balanced, delicious Whole Food Plant-Based meals that support your family’s health goals and make healthy eating sustainable in daily life.

Who Is This For?

This programme is ideal for:

  • Families transitioning to a healthier way of eating
  • Individuals following a Whole Food Plant-Based diet
  • Busy professionals who rely on home cooks for daily meals
  • Families managing lifestyle conditions through nutrition
  • Senior citizens seeking nourishing, easy-to-digest meals
  • Home cooks and personal chefs looking to expand their healthy cooking skills

Why Train Your Cook?

Many people start a healthy eating plan with enthusiasm but struggle to maintain it when daily meal preparation becomes overwhelming. Training your cook helps:

  • Create consistency: Healthy meals become a regular part of daily life rather than an occasional effort.
  • Reduce decision fatigue: Your cook learns practical meal combinations and cooking methods, making it easier to plan and prepare meals independently.
  • Improve family buy-in: Meals are designed to be satisfying, familiar, and enjoyable, helping the whole household adapt more comfortably.
  • Support long-term health goals: Whether your goal is weight management, improved energy, disease prevention, or overall wellness, having the right meals prepared consistently can make a significant difference.
  • Make healthy eating sustainable: The focus is on simple, affordable, everyday cooking practices that can be maintained long term.

What Is a Power Plate?

A Power Plate is a balanced Whole Food Plant-Based meal built around four essential food groups:

  • Whole grains
  • Legumes
  • Vegetables
  • Greens

Meals are designed to be:

  • oil-free,
  • dairy-free,
  • plant-based,
  • nutrient-dense,
  • satisfying and flavourful, and
  • practical for everyday cooking.

Your Trainer – Deepali Gaonkar

Deepali is a Whole Food Plant-Based Chef and the co-founder of Poshak Life. Her journey started with a simple belief: healthy food should never feel restrictive or boring. It should taste comforting, satisfying, and joyful while also supporting long-term wellness. She is the creator of the snacks and sweets sold in the Shop and the recipes used in all food-related events.

Her approach focuses on practical cooking techniques that people can use daily — faster cooking, better prep methods, steaming vegetables, using natural ingredients, and building balanced meals without depending on processed foods.
